Beurs van Berlage I

EXPERIENCE CONCEPT

In 2008, the Beurs van Berlage was bought jointly by the City of Amsterdam, the Key Housing Association, the investors RaboBouwfonds (Rabo Building Funds) and Amvest. The shareholders want to redevelop the building into a profitable cultural asset for the city. Preferably, the historic building should be restored to its former glory and be open to all Amsterdammers and visitors to Amsterdam. The directors of the Beurs van Berlage invited XPEX to develop a master plan for the future of the building. This plan was completed in March 2009 and was accepted by the shareholders. Implementation of the plan has been postponed until further notice.
