Joh. Enschedé collection Haarlem
Royal Joh. Enschedé, one of the oldest family businesses in the Netherlands, started in 1703 as a small typographer in Haarlem. The business became well known for printing banknotes. The Archive of the province of North Holland (Noord-Hollands Archief) has taken over the role of collection manager of the Joh. Enschedé family collection from the Stichting Museum Enschedé. The Archive views the move as an opportunity to discover how it can make the collection available and accessible to a larger public and approached Ernst Veen for a feasibility study. XPEX was asked to advise on positioning, conceptualization, organization and estimations.
