Experience Concept

The Netherlands Architecture Institute (NAi) in Rotterdam is extensively renovated and entirely refurbished. Right in the center of the building one find an education deck measuring 300 m2. The NAi invited five studios to pitch their designs, and XPEX won with our plan to develop a modern educational concept first and subsequently give form to the concept in a way that will inspire and stimulate visitors to started learning by themselves. The education deck is a self-contained world within the NAi, without losing its relationship to the surrounding building. The new NAi is reopend in July 2011.
