Interim management

The Spuiplein in The Hague is the location of the Lucent Danstheater (home base of the Netherlands Danstheater) the Dr Anton Philipszaal (where the Residentie Orchestra is the steady performer) and De Gastprogrammering (responsible for the remaining programming at this cultural center). The City of The Hague is developing plans to build a completely new theater complex on this site, which will also house the Royal Conservatory of Music, The Hague (Koninklijk Conservatorium). The new building is part of the urban upgrade of the Spui area around the Nieuwe Kerk (New Church) and the Rabbijn Maarsenplein. The new Dance and Music Center must be ready by 2017. A design has been made for the planning of the public space in the area, which is intended to become the cultural entertainment center of The Hague. On behalf of all the cultural institutions involved, XPEX is responsible for the development of this program.
