Texel and the world seas
In 2014 the Palmwood Wreck was discovered on the bottom of the Wadden Sea, just off the coast of Texel. The Palmwood Wreck is the most exceptional shipwreck ever found in Dutch waters. To everyone’s surprise the ship was full of unique seventeenth century objects. The collection of objects from the Palmwood Wreck, including a much-discussed dress and the beautiful gilt silver cup, was given on loan to Museum Kaap Skil on the island of Texel. XPEX developed the Masterplan for a renewed museum. In this plan the silk dress plays a leading role in this exceptional and international story about Texel and the world seas.
