The castle of Helmond
Right in the middle of Helmond, a city nestled in the river Aa valley, is a typical medieval castle built in a square and with corner towers. In the Middle Ages the castle ran like a well-oiled machine: it served as a bulwark in the defense of the area and was the garrison base for the Lord of Helmond. At the same time it was the power center for law and governance, as well as just a place to live.
The Municipal Museum of Helmond called for tenders for concept development and design of the new exhibits in the castle.
