EXPERIENCE CONCEPT

In 2012, Amsterdam’s Film Museum will leave the Vondel Park Pavilion for a new location on the northern shore of the IJ. Stadsdeel Oud-West (an Amsterdam borough) has long been actively thinking about a suitably flexible replacement for the Film Museum. To ensure that the selection process for a new main tenant is as well structured and transparent as possible, Stadsdeel Oud-West invited XPEX to explore various options for rezoning the Vondel Park Pavilion. XPEX drew a framework to review the current plans for substantive consistency, sustainability and the extent to which they fit in with Amsterdam and the Vondel Park. The findings of this investigation were contained in a report presented to Stadsdeel Oud-West in April 2010.
